The only way to speed up the processing of your Canadian immigration visa application is to have a job in hand. This vacancy must come from a Canadian employer. It will shorten the processing time of the permanent residence application and your entry into Canada will be considerably faster if you get the visa. After you have received the vacancy from your potential employer, you have three options to follow.
1. Work permit
Work permits are only issued for temporary jobs. In some cases, your work permit may be renewed from Canada. This is the fastest way and in some cases, you can be in Canada a few weeks after your application. To get the job offer, however, the Canadian employer must demonstrate that efforts have been made to successfully employ Canadian residents before he can offer a job for that position.
2. Reserved employment
It is based on a permanent job opening indefinitely and you are not allowed to travel until you receive your Permanent Resident Visa from Canada. In this case, the employer does not have to prove that Canadian residents were not found for the job they offer. The application for permanent residence is processed as a priority at all Canadian visa offices (the processing time is generally less than a year). You also get up to 15 points in the federally trained worker category of Canadian immigration.
3. Provincial appointment
The provincial appointment is comparable to the two previous options. Most Canadian provinces offer appointment programs that lead to a permanent visa for Canada. It is usually a permanent job offer of an indefinite duration from an employer in a certain province. Once you have obtained the provincial designation certificate, you will usually receive a work permit immediately with which you can travel and work in Canada, even before the Canadian permanent residence permit is issued. Your application for permanent residence in Canada will be treated as a priority and you will usually receive the visa within one year. Even if your profession is not considered “highly qualified”, you can still qualify for a provincial appointment. Again, the potential employer must demonstrate that efforts have been made to successfully put Canadian residents in the proposed position.
As you can see, these are the only methods to speed up the processing of your request. The first is the fastest and the other two are relatively the same.
